What is the relationship between power and corruption?

Well this is an easy one  power and corruption are faithful lovers , in  our government there is a lot of corruption because of the power that dishonest people and money have on the world a simple example is this a normal guy gets elected for governor so he puts his best friend I does’nt matter if h is a nobody he is going to become the secretariat of public defense of an entire state that is how things go.

What is the relationship between power and moral?

This one is sad one because sometimes power cheats on moral, when somebody has a lot of power he really does’nt care about moral he just leaves it aside and stamps it.

What is the relationship of power and wealth?

This tow have a very strong bond, it is as simple as this wealth gives you power period to do whatever you want as much wealth as have as much power you will have.

T v is one of the most powerful things that exists it is a huge brain washing and people listen and follow what it says, they spend most of their time on tv.

Ethics and power don’t have such a good relationship but It is important to have people with a high level of ethics in power so that the decisions are made fairly and thinking of the collective wellness.

They have the greatest relationship of them all beacuese people give the power, people are the power, people follow the power.

It is sad power and fairness do not get a long that well in fact power overcomes fairness most of the time

Power

Just the sound of this word sounds powerful, but what is power? I think that there  are a lot of answers to this question . Power could be an ability, a strength, a tool, a capacity, but the thing is that it is all those words mixed in one and that is what  makes it so desirable, and again powerful.

There are many kinds of power, economic power, persuasive power many kinds .

People  that have the privilege and advantage of having power are very easy to recognize, because just the hearing of their names makes you admire them or follow them in some kind of way. For example, Carlos slim and el chapo Guzman have a huge economic power but the Chapo has also persuasive and  he also uses fear, also another example of someone with power is Lopez Obrador because he has the power of moving people of making them hear what they want to hear, there are many examples and every one of them has earned it .

But also I think that people have power because the people that do not have it gives them to them power could not exist without people, people are the power, people give the power to other people.

No more Blood!!

There is a magazine that I enjoy Reading very much called “El Chamuco” it criticizes the government through funny cartoons and what I like the most is that it gives you a different perception of the political problems happening in México and it helps you understand a lot more the political issues that our country is facing right now.

A famous  Mexican political caricaturist called Eduardo del Río, pseudonym  Rius, started along with many other caricaturists in January 10 2011 a new campaign called “Basta de Sangre”, they ask every Mexican citizen to write the phrase “Basta de sangre” or “No mas sangre” in a piece of paper and paste them on a visible place. The objective is to   create a citizen movement for stopping the violence that our country is facing which has left a debt of more than 30, 000 deaths.

Organizing

Yes oraganizin is quite a deal, in fact organizing my time and lazinnes are my main issues, this week i ve had slept almost evreyday like at 1 :00 am finishing homeworks but the thing is that those were assigned to me like 2 weeks before and as always i have to leave everything for the very last minute. An rightt now i am so sleepy that i justa can't write anymore

Start analizing what my priorities are

Something about Health

The past week I have had an annoying pain in the lower parts of my neck I think they might be swollen but I try not to think about that because this weekend I expect it to be very fun so I CAN'T get sick not at all! But well this week I have been seeing many things about health. In fact I consider that emotional and physical health are the key for having a good and prosperous life, because let’s face it without health you simply cannot enjoy anything because HEALTH IS ALL YOU NEED (sorry Beatles but I think that it is health, love too but without health again I repeat you are not fully allowed to enjoy the plenty of love). You might wander why have I seen so many thing abouthealh this week, well in Biology class we have this new project that consists in promoting something that is good for your health, in my case my subject was drinking water, I had to manage how to convince people for them to drink 2 liters of Water a dy besides all the water that there is in the food that we eat in a daily basis.

In conclusion Health rocks and all you have todo for having a good health is excersise, dirnk water and eat in a correct way.

Although Mexico has been a producer and transit route for illegal drugs for generations, the country now finds itself in a pitched battle with powerful and well-financed drug cartels.
The government says more than 34,600 have been killed in the four years since President Felipe Calderón took office and threw the federal police and military at the cartels, with the toll for 2010, 15,237, the heaviest yet.
Mexican and American officials, crediting American training of the military and what they consider to be an increasingly professional federal police force, point out that more than half of the 37 most wanted crime bosses announced last year have been captured or killed. The government also maintains that the last quarter of 2010 showed a decline in the pace of killings.
But the public does not seem to believe it. A poll released Jan. 11 by Mexico’s national statistics institute found that more than 70 percent of respondents believed the country’s security had worsened since 2009.
Both Mexican and American officials, who say the two countries have never worked closer in fighting crime, are facing growing pressure to prove that their strategy is working. With Republicans now in control of the House, the Obama administration will face renewed scrutiny to account for the $1.4 billion, multiyear Merida Initiative, the cornerstone of American aid in Mexico’s drug fight.
The violence has in some cases spilled over the border and become a source of mounting concern in states in the Southwest. And in June 2010 a Justice Department report described a "high and increasing" availability of methamphetamine mainly because of large-scale drug production in Mexico.
In October 2010, the government announced that it was preparing a plan to radically alter the nation’s police forces, hoping not only to instill a trust the public has never had in them but also to choke off a critical source of manpower for organized crime. It would all but do away with the nation’s 2,200 local police departments and place their duties under a “unified command.”

I am tired of this, Mexico just to be catalogued by many ignorant americans as an uncivilezed country, poor and etc but now it is not only going to be catalogued as that it is now going to be one of the ost insecure countries in the world.

The Merida Initiative demonstrates the United States’ commitment to partner with governments in Mexico, Central America, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic to confront criminal organizations whose actions plague the region and spill over into the United States.
The Initiative’s Scope
The Merida Initiative is a multi-year program to provide equipment and training to support law enforcement operations and technical assistance for long-term reform and oversight of security agencies. In 2008, Congress approved an initial $400 million for Mexico and $65 million for Central America, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. In 2009, Congress approved $300 million for Mexico and $110 million for Central America, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. In 2010, $450 million for Mexico and $100 million for Central America has been requested from Congress.
U.S. Domestic Efforts
The Merida Initiative complements U.S. domestic efforts to reduce drug demand, stop the flow of arms and weapons, and confront gangs and criminal organizations. The initiative also complements broader efforts by the Governments of Mexico, Central America, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti to engage on every front in the battle against organized crime.
A Shared Responsibility
Daily developments in Mexico, Central America, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti demonstrate the urgent need for action. Criminal organizations, under great pressure by law enforcement agencies, are behaving in increasingly violent ways. Our partners in the region are confronting transnational gangs and criminal organizations at great personal and financial costs. It is in the national security interest of the United States to support our partners’ fight against this scourge, prevent further violence from spilling over our border, and make our streets safe once again from drug and gang-related crime. They are doing their part--we must do ours.
Components
The Merida Initiative will provide funding for:

• Non-intrusive inspection equipment, ion scanners and canine units for Mexico and Central America to interdict trafficked drugs, arms, cash, and persons.
  
• Technologies to improve and secure communications systems that collect criminal information in Mexico.
  
• Technical advice and training to strengthen the institutions of justice--vetting for the new police force, case management software to track investigations through the system, new offices of citizen complaints and professional responsibility, and witness protection programs to Mexico.
  
• Helicopters and surveillance aircraft to support interdiction activities and rapid response of law enforcement agencies to Mexico.
  
• Equipment, training, and community action programs in Central American countries to implement anti-gang measures and expand the reach of these measures.

A Common Future
By workingtoo collaboratively with Mexico, Central America, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti we confront this regional threat with a regional solution, and undermine the ability of criminal organizations to adapt their behaviors and evade justice.

I think the Merida Initiative is very good but hey USA a here is the real thing! Mexico is too corrupt, i really do not believe that this will work as they are planning to sadly inside the same government we have the actual drugdealears. But in spite of waht i just said i am really tired of this situation inocent people are diyeing and the deth rate in Mexico has increased real bad i just want this to be over!
